Zeikos UV 49mm MC filter

I'm a lens filter believer. I always had a protective filter on all of my lenses, not to protect against impact but against nature elements (dust, water, send, etc.) as well as scratches caused by accidental hits. I buy mid-of-the-road MC filters (Hoya and Sigma primarily). Recently I bought a couple of m4/3 cameras and since then I've been buying more and more vintage MF lenses and protecting every one of them with a good filter was becoming too expensive. So, I search Amazon and came across the Zeikos brand, which I had never heard of before and I decided to give it a try (even though I was quite skeptical due to its ridiculously low price). It turns out that the filter is well made, I can definitely see the multi-coating on it by its reflection and color of the glass and it performs real well. I did not notice any degradation in IQ nor ghosting. So, I went ahead and bought a few more in different sizes to protect all my MF lenses. It saved me a ton of money!!

This filter is simple to use and protects my lens. It prevents any glare from indoor lighting, but I have not used it outdoors yet.

I bought a Raynox DCR-250, Macro-Scan 2.5x Super Macro Conversion Lens, with Snap-on Universal Mount for 52mm to 67mm Filter Diameters. and I need a filter to protect the glass. I only use Hoya and Nikon filters before this but the price of the multicoated filters from those brand are already half of the Raynox's. I found this Zeikos and gave it a try, and I'm not regretting it. It does it job well to protect the lens and does not effecting the photos produced.
Disappointing multi-coating on filter.

When a filter is placed over a lens, it becomes an optical element in that lens system. In order to keep it from producing reflections that make glare spots in pictures, the filter must be multi-coated.
When you hold such a filter up and look AT it, rather than through it, you should not see reflections from the glass surface. This filter is as reflective as plain glass. If it is multi-coated as Zeikos states, it must be an inferior king of coating. Hold up a well multi-coated filter such as a Sigma next to this Zeikos filter and the difference is way obvious. I can't recommend this filter.
