You only use it for night shots (keep the hand away from the camera body) or those family shots.

Item works very well, though can be hard to aim perfectly to trigger shutter. Its compact design makes it simple to use and instructions provided are easy to read. Very convenient and lightweight.

Some reviewers have said that only the "S" button works to fire the shutter. Actually all the buttons work on my E-520. All the other buttons work in the playback mode. The + and - buttons advance the frames while the W and T buttons scroll through the other playback views and the +/- buttons also work once the W/T buttons have been pressed. If you play with this you will see what I mean. So all in all this is a fully functional remote for my camera and well worth the money.
