The KAT-300 PRO 3.0x telephoto lens has an interchangeable mount thread so it can be mounted onto any digital camera with filter thread size of 28mm, 30mm or 30.5mm and can be used with the new Kenko KAC-S50 adapter to mount the lens on selected Canon PowerShot S-series of digital still cameras. When mounted, the KAT-300 PRO increases a digital camera's maximum optical zoom by 3 times. If a camera has an equivalent focal length of 105mm (in 35mm format) the KAT-300 PRO converts it to a focal length equivalent to a 315mm lens without the loss of image sharpness that is normally associated with the digital zoom function of a camera. In fact, the KAT-300 PRO superb optics nearly maintains all the sharpness of the camera's lens.The KAT-300 PRO is constructed from high quality, precision machined aluminum and has optical glass elements that are multicoated to reduce the possibility of lens flair or reflections that could cause ghost images on the picture.Adapter rings 28mm 30mm are included.
